Pop Royalty - A Tribute to Prince, Madonna and George Michael Long Beach Concert reviews
Darned near a perfect show!
We're probably outside the expected demographic for Pop Royalty - A Tribute to Prince, Madonna, and George Michael fans, as I'm 59 and my wife is 58. Since "The Sing-Off," we've loved them, listened to their music, and watched their videos repeatedly. The kids were energetic from beginning to end, and they obviously thrilled to play a 4000-seat, sold-out auditorium. It was great to hear each of the kids featured, demonstrating their formidable talent, most of all. Their show was enhanced a great deal by the minimal staging and the lighting. We were very excited to hear they were coming to Chicago. (We had tickets to their show in Milwaukee last year and weren't able to attend at the last minute.) Their musical arrangements sounded just as good live as they did in recordings, and that's not always true with singers. They seem to be genuinely nice people, very honest and refreshing. I'd love to see them again.
